Life in a Bubble?

Hello all! Sorry I haven't updated the site in a while, but we've had a crazy couple of weeks. After my last post, I got very sick with bronchitis, immediately followed by a bladder infection that turned into a kidney infection. I have never had either of those before so when I saw blood in my urine, it was a little freaky. Because it seems like I have had one thing after another go wrong with my body since Peyton was born, Davin and all of our friends keep joking with me that I need to just live in a bubble so my "feeble body" stops getting sick. Ha!! It's true though, I have never been sick this much in my life. So after this last sickness, Davin has me all hopped up on Zinc and extra B-Complex supplements in addition to my multi-vitamin I take daily. I have to admit that since I have started these two new supplements, I have felt pretty great!

Anyway, we are going to Houston this weekend for our niece Addison's birthday party on Saturday so that will be lots of fun!! I know that after we go to that, I will have LOTS of pictures to post. Hahaha!

Then, for Labor Day weekend, we are loading up the kiddos and heading down to South Padre Island with Pat and Angel, Erica and Casey, and John and Ashley for a fun filled end of summer trip!! This will actually be Hayden's very FIRST trip to the ocean (and Peyton's too of course) so I can't wait to see what he thinks of the beach!! This will be our first family vacation too, so going down there with our family and our best friends is going to be pretty amazing!!! We can't wait!!

I promise after the birthday party this weekend, I will have lots of pictures to share!

Picture Dump!!

Ok, August is one busy month around here!!! Our little cousins Cate and Grace both have their birthdays in the first week of August--along with my brother, then our good freind Casey has his on the 11th, followed by Ashley on the 14th, John on the 16th, and our niece Addison on the 27th!! Jeeeeeez! SO I have had lots of pictures I needed to post and just haven't done it yet! Also, Hayden has swim lessons this month and Davin's big annual Texas Deer Association convention is next weekend, and then all my grad classes star right after that!

So.....here are random pictures from birthday parties, dinners, swim lessons, etc. that we have gone to so far this month. This weekend Davin and I are going with all of our friends to the lake for John and Ashley's birthdays so I'll have pics from that, I'm sure!

Milo the Monster who lives in our pantry....

Last night Hayden kept running to the pantry and growling and then running over to Peyton and growling at her (which she thought was hilarious). I finally asked him what he was doing and he informed me that he was getting "the monster." I asked him where the monster was and he said "in the floor" and then he said "no, he is in the pantry." So then I asked what color the monster was and he said "brown." Then I asked if the monster had a name and I though he said "Neil", but he got a little indignant and corrected me and said, "No! His name is Milo!" (pronounced Me-low). So we now have a brown monster named Milo who lives in our pantry! Hahahaha!

Because Peyton had a hard day of teething yesterday, her big brother tried to make her laugh so I took some videos of it. He was pretty successful for the most part!

Happy Birthday to Uncle Hunter (2 days late!)

My (little) brother turned 22 on August 6 and I didn't get his birthday wishes on here on his birthday. Darn! I fell behind on everything this week! I had a little procedure done on Wednesday so I haven't gotten back into the swing of things just yet, but I'm almost there. Ha!

My Aunt Jeannette's Birthday was the 6th also, so Happy Birthday to her too! Also, our good friend Casey will celebrate his birthday on August 11, then Ashley will have her birthday on August 14, followed two days later by John! Then our niece, Addison, will be 2 on the 27th of August! Jeeeeeez we have LOTS of August birthdays!!

I have lots of pics from Hayden's swim lessons and from John's surprise birthday dinner at Dave and Buster's that I will try to post on here sometime this weekend! Hope you are all doing well!
