I am very proud to report that Hayden has not pooped in his diaper since he first went in the potty Friday night!!!! Whoooo hooo! He tells us when he has to potty and runs to the bathroom all excited. Then when he finishes he is soooo proud and demands his sticker! Hahahahaha!
Also, Amber (Davin's sis) is still scheduled to be induced this Thursday, July 2 to have their second baby girl (name still to be determined, but she goes back to her doc Wednesday and she might have to go on in then instead of Thursday morning. We are supposed to leave SA this Thursday at noon and head on over to Houston to meet the newest member of our Cox fam and we are so excited!
Peyton has a favorite toy now! She has this little daisy flower toy that hangs from her little play gym that I took off the gym and gave to her last night to play with and oh my gosh she went NUTS! She started shrieking with excitement when I would give her a kiss with the flower! She just opened her mouth real big like she does when she smiles and grabbed it from me one time and just tried to shove the whole think in her mouth while hugging it. She just laughed and laughed and loved on this little thing for about an hour. Davin and I were cracking up! I can't even begin to tell you all how much it warms our hearts to see our baby girl so happy and laughing and playing after she had such a difficult beginning to her life. She is soooooo much better and is just such a happy little baby! Don't get me wrong, she still throws her little fits every now and then (come on, she's a girl!)but for the most part she is so giggly and happy! I need to take a picture of her with this little flower and post it for you so you can see how excited she gets. She coos so much now and "talks" to you and she really laughs at her brother more than anyone. He cracks her up!
We are so blessed to have the two most wonderful, beautiful children in the world! (I'm biased, I know.)
I hope you all have a wonderful week!
Love,
S:)

Diapers are EVIL!
Potty-training is the PITS!!!! Hayden did really well going tee-tee in the potty (well, more "around" the potty than in it), but he is terrified to poo-poo in it! He sat and sat and sat on the potty yesterday without pooping so we put his underwear back on and sure enough...he pooped hi pants! Ahhhhhhhhhh! So we're going to continue trying at home and at daycare and hit it hard again next weekend. I guess what I'm trying to say is: Mommy and Daddy trying to potty train Hayden-0, Hayden and diapers 1.
I posted a few pictures of this kids from this weekend and I'm sure you'll notice the nice trash bag chair I made for Hayden so that when he did potty in his pants, it wouldn't go everywhere. Peyton can also roll from her back onto her tummy now!! She's getting sooooo big! I take her back to the Pediatric Gastroenterologist this Wednesday so he can check her progress and adjust her medication for her GERD if necessary.
We took family photos last night and I think they will be sooo cute and as soon as I get them, I will post some for you.
That's all for now! I Hope you all had a great Father's Day!

NINE YEARS TOGETHER!
Happy 9th anniversary to Davin and me! Whoo hoo....almost a decade together, wow! Our 6th wedding anniversary is this Sunday (same day as Father's Day this year) so it's a big weekend for us! No babysitter though, so I guess our date-night will have to wait. We haven't had a date night since two weeks before I had Peyton (that was FEBRUARY)and we were really hoping to go to dinner one night this weekend, just the two of us, but it's just not going to work out. Oh well, if we can get a baby-sitter next weekend we'll just pretend it's our anniversary then. Ha! We'll be spending our weekend with the kiddos, potty-training and bottle-feeding some new lil fawns Davin is bringing home from the ranch...so my house really will smell like a toilet by Sunday! Hahahahaha! Hope you all have a great weekend!

Potty Training D-Day!
Enough is enough! We have tried the whole "child-centered" approach to potty training for boys since Hayden turned 2 in January. You know, we just wanted to introduce him to it slowly, let him get accustomed to it, read books about it, watch "Elmo's Potty Time" 8,000 times, and even invent a sticker reward system. Hayden knows what the potty is and what he is supposed to do in it, he just flat doesn't want to. He has tee-teed in the potty several times, but never gone number 2!
I have read EVERYTHING on how to potty-train little boys---and I SWEAR if one more mother of a little GIRL who does not also have a little boy tells me "Well, girls are so much easier to train than boys," I'm going to go ballistic! I just want to look at them and say, "well that's great, but I have a little BOY I'm trying to potty train, not a little girl, so thanks for sharing!" Now, we have a little girl now and I am slowly learning how very DIFFERENT girls are from boys, but we still have a VERY long time before we have to potty-train Peyton.
I found this awesome article on how we coddle our kids too much in today;s society when it comes to potty-training because we don't want to "push" them. According to this article, back in the 1950's and 1960's 95% of little boys were potty trained by the time they were 18 months old compared to the meager 10% that are potty trained by that age today!!! That's ridiculous! Basically what you have to do is go completely COLD TURKEY!! No diapers, no pull-ups, NOTHING! So that's what we're going to do this weekend! Hayden is almost 2 and a half years old and there's no reason why he shouldn't use the potty. So starting tomorrow when I pick him up from daycare, I'm taking him home and putting him in big boy underwear...NO MORE DIAPERS!
I know this means that we (Davin has already told me this means ME since this is my idea, ha!) will have SEVERAL accidents this weekend and LOTS of messes to clean, but I am prepared for it and Hayden hates to be dirty so I figure after the first few times he goes potty on himself, he'll figure out that's gross and be able to use the potty. If this doesn't work, then I guess my house will just smell like a toilet, I'll have a naked two year old running around, and I'll be sitting in the corner covered in pee and crying. Here goes nothing!
I'll keep you posted!

Peyton found her FEET!
This was a big weekend for our baby girl! She discovered BOTH of her feet and she can now roll from her stomach to her back!! You might wonder why I'm so excited about this since finding "toesies" and rolling over is something that every baby does, but Peyton is finally thriving and showing lots of progress since she was so sick and was a little behind developmentally due to her colic and GERD. She is REALLY growing! I think she probably weighs about 11-12 pounds now and she even has a little roll on each thigh; she is so stinkin' CUTE! I have new pictures and will try very hard to get some up this evening if Davin will let me on the computer since he has been on it for the past 3 days working on an Ad for a deer magazine.
Peyton also LOVES her Bumbo chair and she grabs lots of her toys that are hanging from her little gym mat. She giggles a lot now and the thing (or person I should say) that she finds the FUNNIEST is her big brother! Hayden CRACKS her up and she just LOVES his little sister. He loves to play with her and hold her and every night before we put her down he says "I give Sissy a kiss!!" We have the most adorable children! I can't tell you how happy it makes me to see how much our children love each other. I know as they get older they'll argue and bicker like all siblings do, but I hope that always have the love for each other that they seem to have now.
That's all for now!
Love you all,
S:)

We are so excited for Amber, Carson, and Big Sister Addison! Amber had a 3D sonogram done and this little girl looks JUST like her big sister! We can't WAIT to meet her and hold her!

It all started NINE years ago.....
Davin and I met NINE years ago today on a blind date! Ha! I can't believe it has been that long! Neither of us had ever been on a blind date before and I'm pretty sure neither of us expected to met the person we would spend the rest of our lives with on that day either! Here we are NINE years later and we couldn't be happier. We have a wonderful life together, two beautiful children, the best family in the world, and the most fantastic friends. Life just doesn't get much better!
Love to all,
-S:)

Scooby, Sand, and the Bumbo
Peyton is growing so fast now that she's doing better! She still has some bad days with her esophageal spasms and esophageal reflux, but she has so many more good days than she does bad. She loved her first week of daycare and Hayden LOVED having his sissy with him all day everyday! He just adores her...thank goodness! Here are some pics of the kids during this last week. We went to eat with our friends this weekend and the restaurant had a HUGE sandbox that Hayden played in with his Uncle John. Ashley's brother Michael also gave Hayden a GINORMOUS stuffed Scooby Doo that he won at Fiesta Texas and Hayden went NUTS! We also tried Peyton out in the Bumbo chair and although she doesn't seem too sure about it, she didn't cry when we put her in it like Hayden did! Ha! I hope you all have a wonderful week!!

Back to Work!!
Hi everyone! I'll probably start slacking on my blog postings now that I'm back at work. June 1 was my first day back and I'm very excited to be back. I have to admit that I do miss being able to see the kids a lot, but they have a lot of fun at daycare. Hayden LOVES that he gets to have his sissy with him all day...he just loves her! Well, I hope everyone has a great week and I'll try to take more pictures of the baby girl and post them sometime this week.
Love to all,
-S :)
