Fregel Frog (pronounced Free-gul)

Davin and I got Hayden his very first pet yesterday, a frog. A tree frog to be exact, and his name is Fregel Frog. Hayden is sooo excited about his pet that he is constantly saying "Mommy, Daddy get my frog and put it in Hayden's hand please."

Peyton Grabs a Butterfly

Well, a plastic butterfly on her little activity gym that is. Ha! She was playing under her gym on Friday and we noticed that she grabbed the little butterfly. Some of these pictures I took are little blurry because she just kept kicking and kicking! She is really making so much progress now that she is feeling better!

Hayden plays BASEBALL!

Mimi and papaw have a tee-ball set, so while we were in Arkansas Papaw tried to teach Hayden how to hit the ball. Hayden DID hit the ball several times, but everytime after he hit it he would throw his arms up, drop the bat behind him, run over to the side of the yard, and sit down and give us this pitiful face. We never could figure out why he was doing this, but it was hilarious! So here's a little video of Hayden playing baseball!

And a baby BOY makes three for John and Ashley!

John and Ashley found out yesterday that they are expecting a baby BOY at the end of October! We are all so happy and excited for him! We can't wait to meet little Gage Michael Kinkaid!

Peyton's Baptism

We had our beautiful daughter, Peyton Sophia, Baptized on May 17. Here are some really cute pictures from that day; it was very special for us. We were blessed to be surrounded by family and friends that day.

Hayden's Frog!

A couple of weeks ago we went to my Godparents' house out in Boerne and they have a little pond in the back with a couple of froggies. Of course Hayden was fascinated so his Daddy caught one for him and let him pet it and hold it and then Hayden chunked it back into the pond when he was finished admiring the frog. P.S. The frog hopped away unscathed! Here are a couple of pics from that night.

Headed Home!

Hi everyone! We're in Nac right now and have been since Sunday when we left Conway and the kids have had so much fun playing with all their grandparents, great aunts and uncles, and cousins this last week! I'm so glad that I got to take the kiddos on this little family tour before I go back to work next Monday! I have LOTS of pictures from our adventures and I PROMISE I will do my best to post some of the pics tonight for you to see! Davin gets home this Thursday and I will post some of his pics from Brazil too! I can't believe I go back to work on Monday; this maternity leave has FLOWN by! I can't believe it's been 11 weeks since I had our baby girl!! Even though it's been very hard for the most part, I have really enjoyed all this time with our daughter and I will miss Hayden and her so much on Monday when I go back to work. I'm very excited to go back, but also sad at the same time, but I know she'll be with her big brother and at a FABULOUS daycare while Mommy and Daddy are at work! I hope you are all doing very well and I will talk to you all again soon!

Craziness in Kris Allen Country (Conway, Arkansas)

WOW! I wish you guys could see the craziness here in Conway. It was too cool being here when they announced that Kris won American Idol!! This little town is sooo proud of him! There are pictures of him everywhere and even the "Wacky Wednesday Kris Allen Special" pizza for $5.00 at the Little Caesars! Ha!

Peyton's Baptism and Hello from Arkansas

Sorry I haven't been able to update the blog in a few days, but we've been super busy, first with Peyton's Baptism this past Sunday and then with traveling to Arkansas with BOTH kiddos!! Let me say that a ten hour car ride easily turns into a TWELVE hour car ride when you have a two-year-old and a two-month-old in the car with you! It seemed like we had to stop every two hours to change someones diaper or feed one or both of them! The kids and I followed Mimi and Papaw back to Arkansas this week while Daddy is in BRAZIL, yes Brazil! Davin has gone to Brazil with his good friend and business partner Joe in order to meet some more of the people who started a reproduction lab down there because Davin and Joe are hoping to build and start a lab here in Texas. They would primarily work with cattle since that's the majority of the market-base here, but they would also work with whitetail a lot. Davin JUST called and said they made it ok which is a relief to me because I was worried about the flight. Anyway while Daddy is down there Mommy and the kiddos are spending a few days in Arkansas since Peyton has never been and she hasn't met most of Davin's family yet and I still have time to travel like this until I go back to work on the 1st of June. We will stay through Sunday and then the kids and I will go to Nacogdoches to see Honey and Poppy for a few days and the head back to SA. Daddy will be home next Thursday so that will be very exciting!! Then next weekend is my last weekend before I go back to work! I'm SUPER excited to go back, but sad too because I have gotten used to spending all day with Peyton and a lot of time with both kids so I will definitely miss that a lot! I will post pictures from the Baptism, our adventures here in Arkansas, and our fun time in Nac when I get back home next week. I'll keep you posted between now and then though! Love to you all!!

Teeny Tiny Peyton

I took Peyton to the doc this morning for her first round of shots and she was NOT a fan at all! I am fairly certain that her scream while getting the shots probably deafened the entire medical office! Ha! For someone so tiny, she is SOOOOO loud! She is 22 inches long (60% for her age), her head circumference is 39 1/2 cm (around 50%--so we shouldn't have any head size problems with her like we did Hayden), and she weighs 9lbs, 7 oz (which is below 20%). The doctor was not very happy about her weight, but she was encouraged that she has at least gained some even though she is not where she would like her to be...she should weigh around 11-12 lbs to fall right at about average, but she may just be a small little girl. The doc wants our GI doc to give his opinion about her weight when we go see him this Wednesday at 2:30 and if he isn't happy with her weight, he may run some tests and/or add some meds to what she is already taking for the GERD and colic. Anyway, she's resting in her swing now and I'm doing more laundry so all is well! I hope all of the mamas had a GREAT day yesterday...I sure did!

Peyton Smiles!

Our sweet Peyton Sophia is FINALLY smiling since she is not in pain all the time anymore. She still has GERD and colic, but her medicine for both is making her better. She smiles with her mouth wide open and I love it! She is also a redhead and it looks like she will stay a redhead with blue eyes...what a lil beauty!

"Hey Mambo, Mambo Italiano!"

Ok so Hayden LOVES this Visa commercial of a guy making pizza's while "Mambo Italiano" plays in the background. He goes NUTS when he hears it so we taped it and video-taped three different short videos of him showing off his new dance move that I have dubbed, "The Elbow." It's hilarious and everytime the commercial ends he wants "more!" or "one more time!" Ha! Enjoy the following three videos! Love to all, S:)
