I normally brag on my kids, or husband, or parents, or in-laws, or friends, but just for today I have to brag on myself!! I PASSED MY MASTERS EXAM TODAY!!! I took the written portion on Monday (it was four hours long and covered 500 years worth of literature...no biggie, right?) and I took my oral today (which consists of three professors questioning you for an hour). After you finish the oral you are asked to step outside while the panel confers and decides your fate. I stood outside for maybe two minutes and then all three professors came out and told me, "CONGRATULATIONS!" I haven't been this relieved in a LOOOOOONG time!! Thanks to my husband, kids, parents, in-laws, aunts, cousins, and friends for ALL of your support during the past few months!!! I know I have been a woman possessed and not much fun, so I thank you for putting up with me. Now all I have left is one more presentation and three final papers and then I will officially have a MA in English Literature!!! Yay!

Introducing Kade and Kynlee Hays...
Here are some CUTE pictures of the twins with their proud parents!!! The latest news on everyone is that Pat and Angel will get to go home from the hospital some time today. The babies are still in the NICU where they will stay for the next few days/weeks as the doctors deem necessary for their growth/health. Both babies are doing very well, but with twins these kinds of precauations are always taken in order to stabilize their body temps, feedings, going potty, and other things ;) We haven't seen or held the babies yet, but I can definitely speak for myself when I say I can' WAIT to get my hands on those two cutie pies! What a weekend!!!!
Quick update for everyone!!! We had Peyton's 1st birthday party at our house on Saturday and it was LOTS of fun. Peyton got an entire new spring wardrobe, ha! I will have a slideshow up as soon as I can get it working.
AND...yesterday Angel went into labor and gave birth to their twins, Kade and Kynlee. Kade weighs 5lbs 2oz and Kynlee weighs 3lbs 12oz. Both babies are doing very well and Mama is doing well too. Davin and I got to see Angel last night right before she delivered the babies and we can't wait to meet the twins either later today or tomorrow!! Please keep the Hays family in your prayers while everyone recovers and recuperates in the hospital. I'll post pics as soon as I can.

Peyton's FIRST Birthday!!!!
One year ago today we welcomed our beautiful baby girl, Peyton Sophia, into our family!!! She completed our family and our lives and has given us so much to smile and laugh about over the last year! Even though she got off to a pretty difficult start with colic, GERD, a heart murmur, a milk protein intolerence, and the fact that it took her until she was sixteen weeks old before she weighed more than 9 pounds (she consistently lost weight for about 2 months), she finally started to thrive with the best of them!!! Her brother adores her and she follows him everywhere he goes!! She has her mommy and daddy wrapped around her finger...and I think it's safe to say she probably has Poppy, Honey, Mimi, and Papaw wrapped around her finger too! ;) This child is such a ray of light in our lives and we love her more than she will ever know. Although we will shower her with gifts for her birthday, she and her brother are the two most precious, priceless gifts that her daddy and I could ever ask for. We have been truly blessed with Peyton and cannot wait to see what the future holds!!! We love you all! Please enjoy our birthday cake pictures...as you can tell, she doesn't like chocolate at all!!! Hahahaha! Oh!!! AND she finally took her first steps today!! On her first birthday; how very special.

Angel's Baby Shower at our house hosted by her girls!
The girls and I gave Angel a baby shower at our house this past weekend and I must say it was pretty darn fabulous! ;) We had so much fun decorating, cooking, and planning this shower so it was really cool to see it all come together! Angel got lots of really nice gifts from everyone and had a great time. We LOVE our Angel and we can't WAIT to meet Kynlee and Kade in just a few short weeks!!!
