Colic

So Peyton has colic and it is NOT fun! We couldn't figure out why she always cries unless someone is holding her, rocking her, and patting her....well the doctor confirmed yesterday that it was colic. We have put her on a soy-based formula and hope that will help; so far the screaming hasn't stopped, but I'm praying she turns a corner soon. My parents are coming here tomorrow to help with her (Thank GOD!) so maybe we can sleep! I'll keep you posted!

Peyton's First Few Weeks Home!

Hi everyone! We have had a busy couple of weeks since Peyton's arrival. I wanted to share some pictures we have taken since we brought her home. She's had lots of visitors, been on her first "road trip" to a deer auction for Daddy's work, and taken her first real bath with her big brother last night! We are having sooo much fun with our sweet angel even though she isn't letting us sleep much! Hope you all have a great weekend!

Settling into our new family of four....

Sorry I haven't posted anything in a while, but I haven't been really aware of time or what day it is....apparently lack of sleep will do that to you! Ha! Peyton went to the doctor this past Monday for her two week check-up and she is doing very well. She now weighs 8 ponds and is 20 inches long. She is starting to do a little better at night, but I have thought that before so I don't want to brag on her just yet. We took the kids to Houston yesterday to see Grammie and Caw Caw (Davin's grandparents) and I got great pictures with them, but I haven't downloaded them just yet. In the meantime, here are some pics that Davin took of the kids for Peyton's announcements! I LOVE these! I'll post more pictures later!

More Peyton Pics, Hayden playing tee-ball, and Papaw's birthday!

Hi everyone! I have a couple of pics of Hayden playing tee-ball with Papaw, making mud pies, and having cupcakes for Papaw's birthday while he has been up in Arkansas! We sure do miss him, but we know he is having soo much fun!!

I am also attaching a slide-show of my Mom's pictures that she took of Peyton's birth and a few days after we brought her home! She got some really GREAT shots!

Tomorrow Peyton will be going on her very first trip and we're going to....a DEER AUCTION in Grapevine! Whoo hoo! Hahahaha! Davin said he feels really sorry for the people who are staying in the room next too us since they will get to listen to the "Peyton Show" from approximately 11:00pm - 3:00am! Hahaha! We get to pick up Hayden this weekend too, so we will finally get to see what it's like to have two kids! I bet it will be fun! I can't wait to take pictures of the two of them together! Hope all is well with everyone!!

Update from the land of little sleep....

Peyton will be a week old tomorrow, but it feels like we have had her for much longer than that! It's so neat to see how different she is from her brother, but then to also see some of the similarities they share. She HAS to held all the time and hates to be on her back! Hayden could sleep in any position (and still can)and can hug and snuggle with everyone, but he also likes to do his own thing. It doesn't seem like we have two kids yet though since Hayden has been in Arkansas with Mimi and Papaw since we got out of the hospital. I miss him sooooo much, but I know he's having fun and it's really good he was there since he came down with Strep Throat and Flu B so he couldn't be anywhere around Peyton anyway. Davin goes back to work tomorrow, so it's just going to be the princess and me all day everyday this week. :) Hopefully we will get some sleep tonight, but I highly doubt it. It's so worth it to finally have our little girl here though and even though we are exhausted, we couldn't be happier! Hope all is well with everyone! I'll post more pics of our little girl later this week.

Baby Peyton is here!

After just six hours of labor (versus the 16 and 1/2 hours of labor I had with Hayden) our little girl was born at 1:36pm on Monday, March 9, 2009 weighing 7lbs, 9oz and measuring 19 and 1/2 inches long!!! I have a beautiful family of four now and could not be more blessed! Thanks to everyone for all of the well-wishes and prayers. We are all so happy to have our little girl here with us, healthy and safe! Hope you enjoy these pictures!

Well, I will be checking into the hospital at 5am to have my labor induced, so we're having baby tomorrow!!! We are so blessed!

Last Day at Work!

Today is my last day at work until June 1, 2009!!! I'm soooo excited to have a break...at least from the office anyway. It's going to be so strange to have that much time off work, but I know my days will be quite full with a newborn and a two-year-old! Ha! That's all for now; talk to you soon.

Peyton's BIG Debut!

It's OFFICIAL!!!! The doctor is going to induce my labor on Monday, March 9!!!! We have to check into the hospital at 5:00 am on Monday so hopefully this time next week, we will have a beautiful baby girl!! I'm sooooooo excited! I can't grow much more and all my fluid has come in so I'm swollen, sore, and tired.....a.k.a. READY TO HAVE THIS BABY! I can't believe we are about to be a family of four! Now we just have to go get a glider from Wal-mart because I'm stupid and ordered a brown one instead of a black one by mistake! Hopefully we will get it before Monday; it figures I would screw something up! Anyway, we're sooooo excited about Monday....yay!!

Peyton's Room--FINISHED!

Davin and I FINALLY finished Peyton's room today!! The only thing that is missing is her glider rocking chair which should be here either Tuesday or Wednesday of this week! I wrote the letters on the wall in pencil and Davin went over everything in the black and then, he also hung these white floating shelves. I think her room just turned out adorable! It's the perfect baby girl's room and I can't wait to show it to her! I have an appointment tomorrow at 4:00 with the doctor and we will nail down an inducement date then. It could be this week or next week as far as we know. I could get there tomorrow and she may send us on to the hospital! If that happens, I have my stuff all packed and Peyton's bag packed, so we're ready to go! I'm still pulling for March 9 but I may not have a choice. All of my fluid came in on Friday so my back, legs, and feet are all swollen! I look pretty! Ha! I know this all means that it is just a matter of time before we complete our beautiful family with the arrival of our sweet baby girl! I'll try to post some more info tomorrow after we get out of the doctor's office unless I am sent straight to the hospital!
