My Birthday...ugh

Well, yesterday marked the beginning of my very last year in my 20s! 29?!?!?! I can't be 29; I just turned 25 a little while ago didn't I? Oh my gosh...next year...30. I refuse to turn 30, so I'll just turn "twenty-ten" instead. Why is it that once you have children your life seems to go by so much faster? I can't believe I have a FOUR-year-old son and an ALMOST TWO-year-old daughter! That's just nuts! Anyway, even though I wasn't happy to turn 29, once again, my family and friends made my day so special and I know that I am so blessed to have you all in my life! Thank you so much for making another year of my life so wonderful :)

Aunt Amber had a birthday yesterday and we hope it was a GREAT one!!! I would have blogged yesterday, but it was nuts here in SA with all the "rolling blackouts" and whatnot...jeeez. Anyway, Happy Birthday to Amber! We love you!

Happy 4th Birthday Hayden!!!

Well, our little man turned 4 years-old yesterday! I cannot believe that we have a four year-old. It seems like yesterday we were holding him in our arms at the hospital :) He made us a family four years ago and we really can't remember what our lives were like before he came along. He wanted to go eat at The Magic Time Machine last night for his birthday, so we took him (again). He LOVES that place. This weekend we'll spend time with lots of family and have a SUPER-FUN birthday party tomorrow, so check back for more pics!

Fun Weekend with Mommy... I hope!

This weekend, instead of doing our usual stuff we do (errands, board games, playing outside--weather permitting) I thought the kids an I could try something new while Davin is out of town again. Last night, Mindy went with me to take the kids to eat at The Magic Time Machine Restaurant and they LOVED it! I had never been there before (so of course, the kids hadn't either), and all I knew about it is that there were different theme areas around the restaurant and that the staff all dress up like storybook characters, movie/tv characters, superheroes, etc. We were seated in Tinkerbell's Tree house and had her as our waitress and the kids thought it was awesome! They REALLY loved their "potion" drinks (as you can see in the pic below) because they bubbled and steamed, hahahaha! So, today we are going to attempt to go see Tangled...just the kids and me. I'm nervous, but hopefully we'll all make it through alright. I'll keep you posted ;)

Gearing Up for Hayden's Transformer-themed 4th Birthday Party!!!

Hi everyone! I hope your 2011 is off to a very good start! As soon as NYE was over, I had to start putting together Hayden's birthday party! We're REALLY excited about his party this year because this will be the first party of his that won't be at our house. We're having it at a super cool place called, Pure Fun (http://purefunparty.com). It's kind of like a Pump it Up: it has bouncy houses, slides, cool trikes to race, play houses, a party room, etc. We invited all of Hayden's friends from his class at school, so we might have quite a few kids in addition to all the cousins who will come anyway. We're hoping that lots of Hayden's friends and most (if not all) of our family can come. All I have left to do is order balloons, get party favors, and get the cake! My friend Christina is making his cake and I KNOW it will be amazing! She is truly a culinary artist! Anyway, we hope to see you all there!
