This has been one busy week for us! I know I'll be glad when October is over; everything has just been so busy lately! Davin works non-stop this time of year and right now my work and my grad school are both crazy! Once we get through Halloween, everything will slow down some for us! We were able to go to another of Papaw's games on Saturday that was just up the road from us in San Marcos and Hayden had lots of fun! He sure was excited to see his Papaw and missed seeing his Mimi! Tomorrow is the big day for Baby #2 since we will find out if Hayden will have a little brother or a sister! Our sonogram appointment is at 11:00 am and I will keep you posted as soon as I am able to get to the computer! I hope you all have a wonderful week!
Love,
Spencer

Busy Bees!
Whew! Things have been BUSY in the Cox household lately!! Davin is working ALL the time since he is working a lot of deer at several different ranches and really getting into all the artificial insemination work too this year! His is working his butt off!!! Work has been NUTS for me too since I currently have 7 (yes SEVEN) different contracts I am working on, plus I have my two grad classes! Just for the month of October I will have or have had two term projects for one class (one I have already completed and the second I will turn in on Monday), I had to teach a class to a group of 15 MA/PhD students last week (I made an A-plus, thank GOD!), and I just took my midterm for my other class last night! Wow! Once October is over, everything will start to slow down for Davin and for me, it's just that time of year, you know? As for Hayden, well he hasn't missed a beat! He is really enjoying the new curriculum the kids are learning at his daycare and I swear he learns 20 new words a day! This kiddo is a talker! I wonder where he gets that from...? The pregnancy is going well, I have been feeling much better lately which is GREAT! I will be 18 weeks along on Saturday and on Monday we go to the hospital for the "big" sonogram where we will learn all of the measurements, how much the baby weighs, and whether we are welcoming Easton or Peyton in March! Part of me would LOVE another boy because I feel like I kind of know how to handle them after having Hayden (but I know this new one would probably be TOTALLY different from Hayden) and of course part of me wants a little girl because I would love to have a son and a daughter. Wouldn't it be funny to see how much she would have Davin wrapped around her little finger?! He tells me that wouldn't happen, but I know better! We aren't really wishing for one over the other, we just want a healthy, happy baby to bring home in March! We're either going to be going to TWICE the football games or we will split our time between football and ballet! Ha! Well, I'm off to a conference in Dallas until Friday so I hope you all have a wonderful week and weekend!
Love,
Spencer

The Roseola Rash
Do you want to know what Roseola looks like? Well, we're learning first-hand that it looks like this:
Still smiling even though this rash is driving him crazy!
His poor back....
This is just the most pitiful picture!

Hayden has Roseola
Hayden has the Roseola virus. Davin said Hayden had red bumps all over him this morning before he took him to the doctor so we didn't know if maybe it would be chicken pox. Thank goodness, it's only Roseola and the really good news is that once the child starts developing the "bumps" or rash, the virus is coming to an end and he or she is not contagious anymore! Yay! If you want to know more about what "Roseola" is you can click on this website below or copy and paste it into your browser.:

It's one of the most common viruses among children ages 6months-24 months and really is not that harmful. Hayden also got his Hepatitis A shot and Flu shot today which Davin said he did NOT like. Poor baby! Anyway, he should be as good as new in just a few days! Hope you all have a great week!

Spencer

Sick Baby Weekend
Hi guys! We had an interesting weekend at our house. Beginning with Friday night, Hayden started running a fever and not eating very much. When I put him down Friday night his temperature was about 100.3. When we woke up on Saturday it was 102.4!!! We gave him some Tylenol and monitored him the rest of the day. He went with his Daddy to Cabela's to run some errands and Davin said he sleep some in the car, but was still running a fever. We thought he was feeling a little bit better by Saturday evening because his temperature had gone down to about 99.9 so we took him somewhere we thought he would like for dinner: The Rainforest Cafe downtown n the river. First, the food there is NOT good!!! And though it is a kid-friendly place, some of those animals can be a little creepy when they move around...Hayden was VERY suspicious of teh Gorilla next to our table. When he didn't eat anything again, we felt his forehead and of course he was burning up so we rushed home to take his temperature again. This time is was 103.1!!! We gave him some more Tylenol and he slept on my chest for a little bit until we put him down. Yesterday his temperature ranged from 99.9-100.6. His daddy is taking him to the doctor this morning since he had appointment for shots anyway so hopefully we will have some more news later.
I'll keep you posted.
